Mattia Cenedese wins SWICCOMAS Prize
Mattia Cenedese, doctoral student at the Chair of Nonlinear Dynamics of Professor George Haller at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, wins the SWICCOMAS Prize 2022 for best doctoral thesis of the Swiss Community for Computational Methods in Applied Sciences.
Austrian State Prize for best dissertation
Florian Kogelbauer completed his dissertation at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Vienna prior to joining the Institute of Mechanical Systems at ETH Zurich as a postdoc in 2016. He is currently working on developing nonlinear model reduction principles for continuum vibrations.

MaP Award
Dr. Ivo Leibacher from Prof. Jürg Dual’s group, Dr. Arabella Mauri from Prof. Edoardo Mazza’s group, Dr. Christian Peters from Prof. Christofer Hierold’s group and Dr. Gianvito Vilé from D-CHAB were nominated for the MaP Award 2016. The award won by Dr. Gianvito Vilé and presented at the MaP Graduate Symposium 2016 at ETH Zurich on 9 June 2016.
